MINUTES OF THE NH WHEELERS CHAPTER

NH Wheelers Chapter Meeting

August 21, 2010 at NH Samboree, North Haverhill, NH

 Meeting opened by President Janice Murray  at 6:07pm

 Roll Call: 7 member families present
Guests: Fred and Jane Gendron, Joe and Louise Sportello (NY), Lee and Ronnie Spofford (2nd mtg), Forest and Cathy Degreenia

Minutes of the last meeting were read.   Motion to accept as read by Linda Spofford seconded by Sheila McLean - passed.

Treasurer’s report was read by Linda Spofford.  Motion to approve report as read made by Debi Farnsworth, seconded by Gert Clark - passed

Applications for membership: Lee and Ronnie Spofford, Forest and Cathy Degrennia (1st mtg), Joe and Louise Sportello (1st mtg).

Correspondence:
Emails on Jeanne Lawson’s tremendous progress; she is now at a Rehab in Concord, and if all goes well she may be home by the end of the month. Email from Erin McLean; she is in her new home in PA, very happy.  Email from Linda Porazzo; she is recovering from her 4th knee surgery, Paul has given up his license. 
Please keep all our ailing friends in your prayers.

Reports of Committees:

Wagon Master, Elliot Farnsworth , reviewed the number of members attending the upcoming campouts.  If you are going to be attending any of the campouts, please notify Elliot ASAP. See the 2011 schedule posted on website.  We are looking for Trailmasters for each campout - if interested, please contact Elliot.

Dave Allen made motion to accept the Wagon Master report, seconded by Dave Bonneau - passed

Octoberfest Committee: Plans are progressing nicely.  Theme will be a True Octoberfest.  Look for a German themed recipe for the Pot Luck Supper. Linda Spofford made a motion that a revised fee for the Octoberfest is $120.00 per 2 person rig.  This includes food.  An additional $10 is required if you want steak AND lobster.  Seconded by Marie Allen - passed.

Samboree Committee:  Our Booth looked great.  Our raffle baskets looked great.
The club made $158.00 from raffle ticket sales. Thanks to all who helped make this a success.

Unfinished Business:
Any overpayments for campouts will be discussed individually with Linda Spofford to determine whether to transfer or reimburse amounts.

New Business:
Our Christmas Party will be at the Toothakers’ home, proposed date is Dec 12, to be confirmed next month.

There will be a Board of Directors meeting at Octoberfest.

At our Annual Meeting in October we will be making a few adjustments to the ByLaws and will be making our decision on the dues issue.  Please try to be at the meeting as your input and vote are necessary.

Dave Allen made a motion to create a committee to review the bylaws and bring their recommendations to the Annual Meeting, seconded by Elliot Farnsworth - passed

The new location for our Winter meeting is at the Holiday’s Restaurant in Auburn, NH

Sick and Vigil:  Margie Rowe , Jeanne Lawson, Linda and Paul Porazzo - keep on praying. 

Announcements: Happy Birthday to Jeanne Lawson, Linda Spofford, and Everett Clark.  Happy Anniversary to the DiCenzos

Other Business:  The McLean’s rig is for sale, contact them at 603-893-2063.

Next meeting date: Sept 18 at 6pm at  Barrington Shores, Barrington, NH

Motion to adjourn made by Linda Spofford seconded by Sheila McLean - passed at 6:50 PM.

Raffle Drawings: 50/50 $22.50 won by Joe Sportello (he immediately gave the club $10.00 dues and filled out an application for membership.
