We are cautiously optimistic with the gentle weather we have experienced thus far this winter. Yet, we have many days of winter still to come. For New Hampshire’s ski industry we appreciate the snow, as for me, the older I get the more I am convinced I can live without very much of it. Our camping plans are coming together. I have been contacted by many of our members firming up plans outside of the NH Wheeler monthly campouts. We always welcome the sharing of everyone’s plans. This is a way to experience new places and to expand our horizons. This past year we have welcomed new members and friends to the NH Wheelers. Celebrating the holidays as always has renewed my appreciation of our family. For Dave and I this included becoming new grandparents. This has helped us to experience yet another benefit of belonging to the Wheelers, the sharing of knowledge. Many of our members are already grandparents and each of you has been eager to bless us with your stories. Several of our members routinely attend some of the New England Camping Shows, I would encourage sharing these plans with the group through email as these excursions have been fun in the past. There are numerous giveaways at these events and there is also opportunity to find new campgrounds to explore. Many of the campgrounds offer free clean up weekends in the Spring. These weekends have also meant meeting new friends and exploring new places. In welcoming the New Year, here is hoping for good things for us all. May the best things we experienced in 2011 be the worst things we experience in 2012. With two more winter meetings to go…….camping is
around the corner |
